The death of a loved one, either a family member or a close friend, is always a traumatic experience. Regardless of the circumstances, one can never fully prepare for a death. Thus, it is one of the most significant events in the life of an individual. The purpose of the Bereavement / Funeral Hospitality Ministry is to welcome and support the family and friends through the difficult day of the funeral of a loved one. The Minister will greet the family and friends, assist with the guest book, act as ushers, provide direction and support to the gift bearers, and guide the flow of attendees for Holy Communion, help with the placement of flowers, pictures and other items. The most important role of the Minister is to show support and concern for the family and friends.
