Why is it important to be registered in a Parish?

Each Catholic is meant to be part of a parish, active, and fullyparticipating. This means registered, six months or more, as active, fully participating, worshipping at Mass weekly, involved in service work in his/her parish, and financially contributing to the support of the parish from which you participate. As a Christian steward, gifted by God, each one of us is called to share our time, talent, and financial resources responsibly.

Benefits of being registered as “active, fully participating Catholic”:

~ Recommendation for Catholic schools

~ Reduced tuition for most Catholic schools

~ Pastor’s recommendation to be godparents

~ Address and phone number are available in cases of
emergency sick call

To be “active, fully participating Catholic”:

~ Use identifiable means of support through envelopes, online
donation, or with checks. (Cash has no traceable personal ID.)

~ Be involved in parish ministry or organization, such as usher,
Eucharistic Minister, Lector, RCIA, Knights of Columbus, SVdP—
a full ministry/organization listing is available in the parish office.
